Things I’m loving this week
Racing. It’s been a while….like, more than a year….possibly two since I pinned a number on, but last weekend, I did the Bull’s Dam 5K and Dan did the 10K and I forgot how much I both love and hate it. It hurts and it’s hard, but I will never, ever, ever, ever run that pace if I don’t race. The key is to run as fast as you can stand considering the distance you need to run. In a 5K, it’s practically an all-out sprint. I used to hate that, but…it was actually “fun.” Also, I took 2nd place in my A.G. and knocked out a 29 min. race on a XC run (all flat, but…still).
Megan Trainor. I don’t know how I missed hopping aboard the M-train long ago, but since Spotify has been serving her up to me, I realized how much I absolutely love her music and her message. I’ve been listening to this one on repeat lately.
Rainbows. I mean…this photo I took driving home from work the other day….a rainbow coming out of a cloud over a field of goldenrod and a rustic barn in the background.
My new work bag. I am in LOVE with this bag. It is the perfect work bag to lug my stuff to the office every day. I usually have few files, my lunch, shoes, keys, etc. I bought it in gray (though I was super tempted by the pink). It’s gorgeous, sturdy/stands up by itself, and — this is so key — the straps are long enough to fit over my shoulder comfortably.

Texas. I don’t even know what else to say. I think the time for talking is done anyway. If they were looking for a way to keep the Dems fired up and the women ready to march to the polls and burn this house down, well go ahead and start offering bounties on desperate women. Question: Are the fathers now responsible for fetus/child support from 6 weeks on? Are they required to provide for these unwanted babies?
