Things I’m loving this week
Easy appetizers. Who knew appetizers could be this easy. Block of sharp cheddar cheese, some fruit and toothpicks and you have COVID-friendly apps. We also made skewers with swiss cheese, ham and dill pickle.
A great start to the swim season. We got a late start, but it was a good one for Lauren with the first night being senior night AND she had a PR in her fly and took first place in both of her individual events (100 fly and 200 IM). Here’s hoping the team stays healthy so we can keep it going!
Mercury Reader. Lauren turned me onto this Chrome extension that takes any webpage and makes it into a printable document without all the “crap” (photos, ads, menu bars, etc.). It’s pretty awesome.
Winter evening walks. More evenings than not, we walk the dog. More often than not, we end up in the dark (it gets dark early this time of year), but unless it’s windy, it’s usually pretty pleasant as long as you bundle up — coat, hat, mittens, etc.
Things I’m not loving this week
Endless snow. I mean….yes, it’s pretty…..but it makes life difficult when you have to leave your house. This Monday, we had one car stuck at the bottom of a hill, one car stuck in the driveway, and one car that suffered damage from a fender bender when someone slid into it at an intersection.
