Things I’m loving this week
“The German Midwife” by Mandy Robotham. It’s a fictional story, but it includes a lot of real people and history. Also, a twist at the end that I didn’t see coming. The first chapter though…it’s brutal.
Lauren’s drawing talent. Who knew? I didn’t know that Lauren had art skills. She used to trace things on the computer screen all the time, but I guess all that tracing led to learning how to actually draw.
Lunches at home. There’s something to be said for the ability to make a decent lunch every day. I don’t hate this aspect of working from home.
The orioles are back! I don’t know who is more excited about the return of the big, orange noisy birds, me or the cats. I think this one was just messing with Blue, encouraging him to throw himself into the window at least five times in this sitting.
