Things I’m loving this week
TurboTax free. Kelly filed taxes for the first time ever. It was simple with TurboTax Free. Of course, they try to upgrade you the whole time, but you don’t have to. And…check that off the to-do list. Next up: Scholarship applications.
Kelly ‘kakes. It’s pretty sweet to share a household with a kid who loves to bake. This tasted as good as it looked.
A handy husband with lots of free time. Silver lining in this forced layoff…Dan has plenty of free time to catch up on various projects and odd jobs around the house.
Long walks in nature. Bull’s Dam/Eaton Reservoir is my happy place right now, and I’m not alone. I’ve never seen so many people there on a bitter cold day walking, running, etc. Another silver lining of everything being canceled is plenty of time for long walks outdoors.
And…..when you can’t be in nature because it’s raining or snowing or windy or all three, find a parking garage — it’s not pretty, but it is open air and undercover. Laugh, but I did five miles in the Renaissance Building Parking Garage while I waited for the garage to finishing switching my tires over last week:
Things I’m not loving this week
Snoozing coworkers. My new coworkers are lazy AF. I’ve always wondered what cats do all day long. Now I know. Nothing. They do nothing. All day. (I still love them though.)
No dinner out for our anniversary this year. Today is our 26th wedding anniversary and normally we’d go out for dinner and a few beers, but….. you know…. Covid-19. #firstworldproblems, I know.
Spring mud/fog/ugliness. I’m thrilled it’s spring, but it is truly the ugliest and messiest season of the year, as evidenced by the towels at every door that we have to use to wipe muddy paws all day long (and I mean all day long since we’re all home all day now).
