Things I’m loving this week

earpods

Wireless earpods. I sure can’t afford Apple Airpods, but I knew it was only a matter of time before China came up with a $20 version and voila…I’m checking out at Walmart this weekend and I see these Tzumi wireless earbuds for $20. Yes, please. I hate, hate, hate, hate, hate it when I am walking outside or on a treadmill and catch the cord of my earbuds with my hand by accident and rip the buds out of my ear or the cord out of the phone. I do it so often and destroy my buds so frequently that I buy them in packs of two and three. But…..but….these earpods, if I can manage to not lose them, are pretty sweet. The only downside is that they only last three hours and I’m not sure they’d stay in my ears when I’m running, but….most earbuds don’t anyway.

face wash

Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Face Wash.  Picked up a small sample of this face wash at the dermatologist, and I love it. It takes my makeup off, smells wonderful, and leaves my skin feeling soft.

“The Little Mermaid” at Seneca. Kelly played Ursula in her final high school musical “The Little Mermaid” and, I’m not even going to be humble here….she killed it. My wicked little sea witch stole the show. It was the perfect ending to her H.S. stage “career” and I was so happy they chose a lighthearted and fun Disney show, and that she was able to go out on a positive, high note (pun intended!).

Things I’m not loving this week

Truck = deer = ruined Sunday. We were halfway to Titusville to attend a History Club outing with Lauren and Kelly, with plans to hike a bit (it was a beautiful, warm day) and stop for dinner/growler fill at Orr’s Brewing, when Dan hit a big deer at about 55 miles an hour. Sigh. We spent the next two hours waiting…for someone to “dispatch” the half dead and suffering deer (thanks to the State Police Officer for that), for a flatbed tow truck, and for a ride home. And, of course, that was just the start — now we have to get the truck towed back to Erie, deal with all the insurance stuff, and wait for it to be repaired. We’re truly hoping they don’t total it.

The virus that is ruining everything. OMG…..this is such a nightmare on so many levels…I mean, for some, there’s the very real fear of death, but…for most of us, it’s just a gigantic and huge inconvenience that is really throwing a wrench into life/events. Sigh.  The only silver lining I see here is that it is exposing Trump for the completely incompetent “leader” he is.

Sore arm/shoulder/neck. I can’t figure out where the pain is coming from, but i know my arm/shoulder hasn’t been right since I fell trail running last fall. It seems to come and go (I think weightlifting aggravates it) and it’s making life miserable and sleep nearly impossible.
