Things I’m loving this week

Lauren’s homecoming dress. As soon as I saw dress this online, I knew this would look great on Lauren and that we could pair it with bright red accessories. I figured that if I loved the dress, she would hate it. But, she liked it. Yay. Win-Win! She was so cute…so was her date:

Pumpkin dip. Now that it’s fall, it’s time to start whipping up my favorite autumn bring-a-dish go-to. I take this pumpkin dip to every gathering I attend through Thanksgiving. It’s great with graham crackers, vanilla wafers, or apple slices.

September weather. September is my all-time favorite month in Erie. With warm/hot days and cold nights, it offers the best of both worlds. It’s nice and cool to run and sleep in, but warm enough to wear shorts and enjoy some sunshine during the day. My favorite, though, is sleeping with the windows open…fresh air with just enough chill…it’s perfect.

Things I’m not loving this week

Less daylight. As I mentioned above, this is my all-time favorite weather, but…unfortunately, we have less and less daylight in which to enjoy it. Every day the sun sets quicker. It just seems unfair — these are the days I want to be outside gardening and riding and walking till 9:30 p.m.

Plantar fasciitis. Starting to suspect there’s a bone spur involved here, too. Lovely.

#45. God, I don’t even know what to say here. And, whatever I list will be outdated by the time you read this and he’s done three more egregious things. I just….I can’t believe the 13-ring circus we’re all stuck in.
