Outside Magazine: If You Want Your Kids to Succeed, Let them Fail (I couldn’t agree more with this. It’s hard to watch….it’s hard to not intervene, but…it’s the only way they can learn resilience. In our house, we have a phrase for this: Let ’em hang. It means…let them dangle for while…let them struggle a bit….it’s important for them to learn to be self-sufficient.)

Scary Mommy: Why Less ‘Stuff’ Is Better for Our Kids (Totally agree here, too.)

Washington Post: A School Bus Driver Raped a 14-year-old and He Won’t Spend a Day in Prison (If you want to know why so many women are so angry today….it’s stuff like this. What is the message here? It’s that a woman’s pain doesn’t matter…her bravery in reporting this crime doesn’t matter and that our judicial system is woefully broken and set up to protect white men).
