Things I’m loving this week

The weather.  70+ degrees in November? I’ll take it. (Global warming be damned!)

Handing out money. One of the most rewarding parts of being the race director for the Erie Runner’s Club’s Her Times women’s 5K is that I get to hand out checks at the end. (The ERC allows me to donate the proceeds from the race to local women’s charities.) I delivered $500 to Safenet on Sunday and I’ve got another big check to give to Girl Scouts Western PA this week.

The light at the end of the tunnel. This election is almost over now and, although it’s pretty clear we will remain a pretty eff’d up, divided nation no matter who wins, at least we can — maybe — move on after Tuesday. What a long, strange trip it’s been.

Things I’m not loving this week

NOVEMBER. Uh…how is it November, already? This means the Commercial…Retail …I mean…Christmas season is almost upon us. Bahumbug.

Colds. I don’t get sick. Often. But, when I do (like now)…I kinda hate it. Fortunately, my body is a kick-ass, germ-killing assassin, so they usually don’t last too long for me.

Republicans who refuse to do their job. How is this even possible? Remember this when you go to the polls on Tuesday. These “public servants” are already saying…we will NOT do our job for four years if we don’t win (i.e. we’re taking our ball and going home…but you’ll still need to pay us..of course).
